Charity rebrand for Safety Net

The Challenge

Safety Net UK is a trauma recovery charity based in Cumbria, offering trauma-informed advice, support, and therapy to people affected by abuse. In 2024–2025, the charity sought support to refresh and strengthen its marketing and communications. Key objectives included:

  • Developing a new logo, brand identity and brand guidelines.
  • Creating a suite of branded print materials and resources.
  • Project managing the website build, partnering with Labrys Design.
  • Providing all written, SEO-optimised content for the new site.

The charity’s ambition was to present a more cohesive and professional image, better support service users, and to lay the foundations for stronger fundraising and engagement. Clearer communication around updated referral processes was also a priority.

The Solution

Future Stories closely with the Safety Net team to develop a distinctive new brand logo and a suite of associated illustrations. The creative work for the illustrations was provided by Beth in our team, with support from George who liaised directly with Safety Net colleagues gain feedback on the new brand.

Following this, we produced a new set of brand guidelines to provide clear guidance to the team on how the brand can be used. A suite of new printed leaflets and resources were also created for the charity to use in the year ahead.

Future Stories led the project management of the new website build, with George liaising carefully with our chosen website development partner Labrys Design to create the site. Over 35 pages of SEO optimised content was created for the site.

Finally George coordinated all launch communications so that all partners and clients were aware of the new site.
